San Antonio, Texas certainly boasts a strong and veritable military history reflected in the overall character of the city. Home to the Alamo, with almost every turn and crossing throughout San Antonio, one is brazenly reminded of the deep pride and cultural influence precipitated by the engagement of warfare. Nevertheless, balancing the stoic gravity of monuments, statues, and memorials is gracefully managed by the profuse lively arrangement of nature and revelers lined along the impressive Riverwalk meandering through the downtown area. Occurring one level down from the automobile street, the Riverwalk(aka Paseo del Rio) is essentially two parallel walkways peppered with bars, restaurants, and shops on either side of the San Antonio River. An exotic blend of sounds, sights, aromas, history and architecture, the Riverwalk is a distinct adventure in North American culture.

FAMILY MAN
copyright by CBREEZE 2008

I know for you a poem or dinner
may not seem like much
to show the sincere love I feel
or how my heart is touched
by kind and thoughtful gestures
you bring to me each day
so natural and willingly
you suddenly may say,
"I'm so in love with you"or
"you look beautiful"
with such great frequency
you are so dutiful.

I know for you a warm embrace
and kiss is not enough
to straighten out entanglements
or smooth over the rough
experience and life events
you've dealt with until now
the trials and tribulations
sometimes I wonder how
you find the time and energy
to give so much and more
bringing to life your hopes and dreams
it's you whom I adore.

I know a gift of jewelry
or clothes will not suffice
to thank you for the overt ways
you've been so very nice
like romantic vacations
and nights out on the town
paying a bill and feeding me
rubbing my body down
and so to you a special wish
to place higher than high
be blessed with the best there is
to have before you die
for I could never give you all
you certainly deserve
magnificent is what I call
our family man we serve.

The Subtle Beauty
by
Kasmik
copyright 2009

Under the veil of beauty
true innocence hides
awaiting the moment
when love arrives
to free her from features
and false pretense
released from the prison
obsession with scents
delivering honor
and worthiness
in packets and parcels
of emptiness
emerging in a subtle
easy going way
uncovered, revealed
no more to portray.

Indian Profiles

Trees have a particularly strong life force, absorbing and emanating energies for the benefit of the earth and its inhabitants. These energies are strengthening, healing, liberating, refreshing,
cleansing, and transforming. Trees also have their own distinct personalities and individual qualities, similar to human beings, which set them apart from one another, physically and spiritually.
It is a good practice to frequently mingle amongst trees in a 'up close and personal' way.
Standing, sitting or lying under a tree for a few minutes can be very peaceful and relaxing to your body, mind, and spirit. To enhance your overall health and well being, you can establish a routine meeting with a favorite tree for prayer, meditation, visualization, and deep breathing practices. Most of all, remember to touch and hug trees to get direct healing current flowing through your body.
Trees house ancient guardian spirits and can be easily seen by those who wish to make contact or have an imaginative eye. Some appear in animal or human form in the trunk, branches, or leaves of the tree. Look closely and you may see some of the spirits lingering in a tree near you!

Most of us think 'real' is what can be perceived with the five human senses through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. There are other senses we possess that are 'real' but are not interpreted through traditional means. For instance, intuition, clairvoyance, clairaudience, and psychometry are very real abilities but are not customary methods of perception. These 'extra' senses are part of the greater reality in which we all exist. In truth, there are an unknown number of greater realities we are only now beginning to become conscious of.

What is the greater reality and how do we experience it?

Acceptance is the first step towards tapping into the other realities. Just like you accept that electricity exists and expect your computer or television to turn on when you press the power button, you should also accept that a greater power is in you and expect yourself to be able to turn it on when you press the right button. Your problem may be that you cannot recognize the button that turns you on to the higher realms, but i assure you everyone has one. One way to discover how to connect to other realities is to allow yourself to daydream, imagine, visualize and meditate daily. As you practice these methods regularly, you will create a strong connection to your subconscious and build a bridge to deeper dimensions of reality.
You don't have to 'try' to reach these greater realities, just relax and allow them to appear.
